Q. Can ARC guarantee me a job?

A. ARC New Zealand will give you an honest assessment of your job prospects in New Zealand, and will do its best to help you to find a job, but there is no guarantee that a job will be found. ARC New Zealand is not responsible for the success of any job which is found, or for circumstances which may arise relating to that job. You should be aware that the job market may change quite quickly, and that New Zealand government rules may also change with little notice. However, we do all we can to make sure the information we give is up-to-date.

Q. What happens if I decide not to take a language course, but my English is not in fact good enough for my work?

A. If you do not enrol for a language course and, when you arrive, are found to have poor English skills, we may strongly recommend that you change your plans and enrol for a language course so that you have a reasonable chance of finding a job.

Q. Are there grants or scholarships to help people to take the ARC Programme?

A. If you take the programme and are successful in finding a job, you should earn enough money to pay off the costs you have had. But, sorry, there are no grants or scholarships, so you do need to find the money at the beginning to come to New Zealand and to take the course.
