Now is a great time
to come to work in New Zealand, and ARC New Zealand will give you
a great start to finding a job!
New Zealand is looking for skilled workers in
many different fields: engineering, agriculture, construction,
health care, hospitality and many more.
You may apply for a job in New Zealand. You may
be able to come with a working holiday visa.
ARC New Zealand will help you to be successful here.
To
work here and succeed, you need three things: |
With our ARC New Zealand programmes, you will: |
| 1. A job |
1. Receive help in finding a job |
| 2. A full understanding
of life and work in New Zealand |
2. Learn about life and work in New Zealand |
| 3. Really good English |
3. Make sure your English is good enough for you to start work |
Our
Programme includes a number of services to help you find a job
here:
Language Assessment
We have our own test to help you and employers understand your
level of English. This is based on the real needs of the workplace,
and shows whether your English is good enough for the job you want to
do.
Language Course
You may take either a twelve-week
language course or a six-week
language course. Most people will need the twelve-week course, but some
people who already have a really good level of English may find that
the six-week course is enough.
Your Language Course includes work-specific language, and on
certain dates you may combine it with preparation for Cambridge examinations
(First Certificate, Advanced or Proficiency), IELTS, TOEIC or TOEFL.
ARC Job Finder
With ARC's Job Finder service you will:
• receive individual help in preparing an error-free English curriculum
vitae (cv)
• find out where and how to look
for jobs in New Zealand
• learn how to apply for jobs
• find out the right and the wrong way to write an attention-grabbing
covering letter
• be trained in the vocabulary
and pronunciation appropriate
to your specific field
• receive assistance with opening a bank account
• receive help in obtaining a New Zealand tax number
• learn effective interview
techniques and practise interviews
• be given the latest information on employment
law and the New Zealand work culture
• obtain information on New Zealand health
and safety requirements
We can also arrange for you to use the services of an employment consultant at no extra charge.
If you already have a job offer, the ARC Programme will still
help you prepare for successful employment during
your working holiday here.
